Texas Free Legal Answers is a website where income-qualifying Texans can ask for advice from a licensed Texas attorney at no cost to the user. Texas Free Legal Answers is a project of the American Bar Association and Texas Legal Services Center, a non-profit law firm that serves low-income Texans on a variety of civil legal issues. here. For this project, malpractice insurance is provided by the ABA for all communications within the portal.
To be able to answer questions on the site, attorneys must first create an account at
https://texas.freelegalanswers.org/Attorneys/Account/Agreement. It takes about 2 minutes to fill out the information needed for registration. Once attorneys fill out the registration and are approved in the system, they can start answering a variety of civil legal questions asked by low-income Texans. Each attorney will receive additional information and training resources once the registration is approved.
